We search far and wide, from New Zealand and Sweden to LA and New York for cutting edge designers with a unique voice. We proudly present to you designers who create with pride and love.

Our mission is twofold: to provide world class service to our consumers and to find and support talented designers from around the globe. We look for artists with a purpose and sustainable or cause driven designers. We guarantee quality of construction and originality of design and we don't sell fur or products made from endangered or threatened animals. In addition to supporting independent designers, many with causes of their own, Moxsie has furthered its commitment to bettering the world by pledging to donate a portion of our proceeds from each purchase on Moxsie.com to a charity. The idea of giving independent fashion a dedicated website was first conceived by Catalina Girald several years ago while attending Stanford Business School. From a young age, Catalina always had a talent for finding new and exciting fashion wherever she traveled around the world. She realized, however, that many eager boutique shoppers do not have the luxury of having access to cutting edge, independent fashion locally. Thankfully, Catalina knew the Internet could solve that problem and thus, she created Moxsie.

In April of 2008, Alloy Ventures in Palo Alto, California funded Moxsie, now complete with a team of entrepreneurs who had created the first online shopping basket. They envisioned a new way of experiential shopping and couldn’t wait to start. An executive team was then created with veterans from Zappos and Netscape to begin the big task of building Moxsie as an online shop dedicated to discovery of independent brands. We’re still in the process of building this monumental work. So keep your eyes peeled!
