Even if you didn't watch the live broadcast on Sunday night, your homepages are probably still bubbling with Oscar fashion recaps. Not one to stop the momentum short, we're still chattering about who wore what and what was so-and-so thinking. It was tons of fun styling the male and female models at the fitting a couple of weeks ago, and of course the MAV Foundation's credo falls in line with our philanthropic interests: ALL proceeds from the show go to benefit lymphoma and leukemia research.

In response to the earthquake that devastated Haiti this week, we've just added Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti to our list of Moxsie Supported Charities.

We chose Yele Haiti because Wyclef Jean mobilized almost instantly to address Haiti's situation. Yele Haiti has been committed to empowering Haiti from the infrastructure upward since 2005 and is currently focusing all of its efforts on earthquake relief.

It's part of Moxsie's mission to make social responsibility a part of people's everyday practices. That's why we've made donating as simple as possible. We encourage our customers to select a non-profit organization at checkout, and your donation is sent at no extra cost to you. Whether it's Yele Haiti now or the Sierra Club Foundation later, just pick the charity and we'll take care of the rest.

According to Refinery 29 via Women's Wear Daily, we can expect the most fall-looking palette ever to grace spring collections in 2010. Colors are muted, though saturated, but our own hypothesis is this will mostly apply to basic pieces, leaving plenty of room for pops of color and metallic accents.

Things have come a long way since our humble beginnings just one year ago, and we have everyone to thank for it! Thanks to our designers, thanks to our charities, and thanks to our customers. Here's to a kick-ass 2010. We hope you'll join us in the near future as we discover and share the world's greatest creations in independent design.
