Crow's a new label we've just brought to MOXSIE FIRST. Great colors and so easy to wear. They even fit Shilpa's (Director of Merchandising) difficult-to-size wrist!

Platform, oh Platform. More footwear designers than there are feet!

On the more indie tip, Pool Trade Show boasted a lot of new creativity that's swiftly on the rise. Sora Designs was a part of the Cash & Carry section, and this point I had to swiftly walk away. Too many options, so little cash...(Those taxi rides up and down the Strip add up!)

I count this as a sort of celebrity sighting. Those impeccably adorned fingers belong to Wendy Lam of Nitrolicious. I'm a fan of her blog and hopefully didn't creep her out when I asked if I could snap an "in-action" shot. Of her typing. That's not weird, right?

The Hundreds included MOXSIE in "The Miami Heat of the Internet" in a pic with Yu-Ming, Wendy, and me, which would make this picture the "San Jose Sharks of Street Style." (What? It's hard to pick a solid Bay Area sports team!) Here's Yu-Ming Wu of Freshness Mag, Bobby from The Hundreds, and Wendy of Nitro taking a break from roaming SLATE. (They guy doing either a complicated handshake or checking his phone in the back left is the Keith Hufnagel, the skate legend behind HUF.)

I like dogs.

And now, onto the eveningwear...

We went to Matt Bernson's first annual Band Bash at Beauty Bar, where we also ran into fellow footwear designers Darin from Heyday Footwear and Ce Ce from 80%20 Shoes. I wore my Matt Bernson Vespers for the occasion, and he thanked me personally. (Ladies, in case you were wondering, the Vespers are super comfortable, and yes, I was able to dance in them.)

The party featured a live performance by Eastern Conference Champions. They were good! They've been featured on Gossip Girl, so there's some more name-dropping for you.

...And they definitely got people to dance.

We were walking through Aria when we spotted a girl with awesome styling. "Ooh, she's wearing cool garters," I said, and then someone replied, "Yeah! I love her hat, too!" Surprise! Turned out it was Angela from Hellz. That's her in between Hellz mastermind Lanie and Hellz marketing whiz Brittany. They were set to party. But they're always dressed that perfectly anyway.

Y'know, it's just not a trip to Vegas without getting married. Okay, actually, it's still a trip to Vegas, just without the remorse. Here's one of the Paris chapels!

And finally, something I hold near and dear to my heart (but no one else in the office does), bad gangster rap. We didn't make it to the XXL party, but I couldn't leave the building without a picture with the poster.

Oh yeah, no one from the MOXSIE team got married. Maybe next MAGIC.

It was Mayka from Marketing's first fashion trade show, so we assigned her with the task of capturing all the happenings of Las Vegas in one big recap. The recap got so big she had to split it up. Here's part one.

It's fun playing "Spot the MOXSIE" in crowds. We caught one sales rep wearing Matikos.

Trade shows prove to be the perfect place to learn more about brands from the people who know them best. Ateliers Arthur's designer hails from South Africa!

You also get to touch base with people you've only got e-relationships with. (You know, e-relationships? Communicating solely through email, Twitter, Facebook...) The Hellz crew is always a source of inspiration in the simple art of dressing and inciting creativity.

It's great to say we've got actual friends in the industry! Whattup, Mahfia and Sosupersam!

Easily my favorite photo of the week! (I keep wanting to call it "the weekend.") I have to be completely honest, I was hesitant at first, but Native Shoes ended up saving my feet after tons and tons of walking.

It's such a tease to look at all the designs at such an early stage in production. The collections on display last week were actually for Spring/Summer 2011. That's too far away! I just wanted to buy everything! Particularly everything by Miss Wax:
