New Zealand based designer Jason Ng launched Cassius eyewear in August 2008 to a rapturous reception from the fashion press. In a crowded sunglass market, Ng deliberately revived a style of eyewear long forgotten by the major fashion houses. Gone are the loud brand logos and over-wrought styles of past seasons. Jason references the classic attitude of the 60s and 70s and lets the gorgeous frames speak for themselves. Vintage sunglass collectors and eyewear connoisseurs have been enthralled by Ng’s unisex designs, each named after a leading architect.

To keep its exclusivity, Cassius limits global production of each style to just 300. Every piece is handcrafted from European acetate and fitted with CR39 protected lenses with a rating of UV400, which are the most scratch resistant of any uncoated optical plastic.
