Don’t tell fresh upstart Shawn Owen Button that he bears all the trademark traits of precocious naiveté: unrestrained energy, a defiant attitude and spontaneous beliefs. With a clothing line named after his initials, S.O.B, Button seems to be more than cognizant of the double entendre at hand. In fact, he’s internalized it. Combine a Dadaistic design philosophy of 'no' means 'yes' with “high class casual with a side of crazy,” and there’s no stopping his stream of conscious process and irreverent pop culture dissection.

The southern California based designer dabbled in graphic design and studied fine arts before applying his brush to cotton instead of paper- the studied influences irradiate throughout his work. The premier collection’s tees incorporate an iridescent balloon dog, ebullient typography and peeping zip-holes. They fully reflect Button’s desire to provoke, bemuse and rebel.
