Spun’s founder Sara Seumae started her brand in 2007, shortly after giving birth to her second child. Necessity is the mother of invention, and in Sara’s case, she languished in her search for quality organic clothing that satiated her fashion quotient but didn’t compromise her ideological beliefs or her family budget. A momentous conversation with her father made Sara realize she belonged to a family of serial entrepreneurs, and the concept behind her clothing brand was "Spun.”

Spun officially launched in Seattle, Washington in February 2008, debuting with wardrobe basics that let women easily incorporate organic clothing into their wardrobes. Led by a simple philosophy of three F’s: fits, flattering and fashionable, the brand continues to develop its aesthetic and explore increasingly sophisticated silhouettes.
