The Harbinger Company is a one-woman product design workshop based in San Francisco, founded by Yvonne Hung as an avenue to share her ideas and creations. Although art has always been her passion and forte, a degree in economics from Stanford and a masters in urban planning from the Harvard design school got her an office job in a profession that limited her creative capacities. Her escape was art, which ranged from paintings, to bags, graphics, jewelry, home decor, collages, and anything she can make with her hands and simple tools. The Harbinger Company is the result of those explorations.

The Harbinger Company aims to create artful products that are indisputably interesting and beautiful, that can sell themselves and be appreciated by anybody. Beyond aesthetics, The Harbinger Co. also prioritizes sound environmental and social practices. Biodegradable and rapidly renewable materials are used to create each item, and all products are designed, made, and packaged in the San Francisco Bay area to help support local economies and minimize carbon emissions due to freight. While these facts may not be apparent to our buyers, they are underlying principles of this design workshop.
