CEO Coleman Horn began his design career at DID, an industrial design firm where he learned the fundamentals of translating client vision into product realities. He began designing athletic footwear for industry giant Nike, where he worked in both the athletic and outdoor categories. He was then recruited to launch the Polo Sport shoe division of Reebok, where he was instrumental in developing an exciting new footwear brand.

Missing the technical design challenges of hard goods, Coleman returned to his roots as Design Director for Morrow Snowboards, by designing the industry lauded "Engage" step-in binding system. As Design Director for Simple Shoes, Coleman was a driving force behind the successful re-launching of the Simple brand.

After working with students at Stanford's "D-School" in a lecturer capacity, Coleman became obsessed with entrepreneurial brand development and startups. He joined Eric Meyer and Scott Milden to create the brand MEDIUM. After a four-year growth curve MEDIUM was sold to Pentland Inc. in 2006. Coleman Horn graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991. He currently enjoys "Rock-Star Status" from working on Cameron Crowe's film “Elizabethtown”, having MEDIUM receive the brand launch of the year award, and having his shoes on display at the SF museum of Modern Art.
